a traveler: canada

oh Canada... this is the last of my past travels, and i write this being in NYC at the moment, but that will be a whole different blog :) just so happy to travel again! :D

my trip to Canada was pretty long, therefore lots of photos hehe, i found it really hard to pick out the best but somehow i managed.

basically my trip took place in Ontario, i realize Canada is a huge country and there is so much to see, so i can safely say that i will come back and know the wild part of it :) but for now, i'll show you my experience in the city of Toronto... during all my travels i came to realize that i'm a city girl, i like big cities, feeling like there's always something going on, keeps my mind busy and it keeps me going :) apart from all the buildings in a city, one of the things i love the most is the people, and i gotta say, canadians are incredibly nice and always willing to help out.

i really enjoyed Toronto, there's so much going and so many things to do :) and i love the view of all the buildings...

ps: there are so many pictures i can't share because there are too many, from Niagara Falls which is absolutely awesome and Wasaga Beach but i guess these ones will do :) and they're def the highlight of the entire trip!

if you're in Toronto, you should def go to Toronto Islands, you get an amazing view of the city skyline and there are many cool activities to do around the massive park.:)

while in Toronto Island i met this cute dog and its owner... i spent like 2 hours talking to the old man and playing with the doggy :) it was such a cool time, like i said canadians are really nice :)

after spending some time in the city... it was time to know the nature side of Canada, so we visited Muskoka, an area of Ontario pretty famous for being a cottage town. beautiful landscapes, and the typical Canadian scenario, pines and lakes :) it is soooo beautiful, and it is a great place to relax and just unplug yourself from the world. i think the photos can speak for themselves, i can only say that i had an amazing time and a great host, so thanks for taking me there :)

fireworks for Canada Day :)

to finish up... i stayed most of the trip in Oakville, Ontario... the last day i sneaked around and saw this place where you could see the Toronto skyline and lake Ontario... it was beautiful.

Oh Canada... i shall come back, very soon :)

a traveler: bahamas

moving on to my next destination... no longer in Europe but nevertheless pretty amazing as well. when my dad asked me, do you wanna go to Bahamas? i didn't think about it twice i just said yes! it was 2 years since the last time we had a family vacation, so i knew this was an opportunity to relax and forget about the whole shock of having moved back from London to my hometown. what better place to go and forget the world but Bahamas? a complete and utter paradise! :)

i should mention that i decided not to edit any of these photos, just because the natural colours are soooo vivid and really, there was no need to edit :P hehe although most of the time i just do it to give it my personal touch but this time, they're all SOOC.

so starting this journey to crystal clear waters and amazing blue skies with warm weather was absolutely fantastic. i totally fell in love with Bahamas, people are nice, there are literally tons of tourists everywhere and there are lots of things to do around. i don't think there's too much talk needed hehe... the photos can talk for themselves.

you can't go to Bahamas and not go see the dolphins, we took a package to the Blue Lagoon to go see them... it was just amazing. touching a dolphin was on my bucket list hahaha i know it's kinda silly but it's something i've always wanted to do.

next day after hanging out with the lovely dolphins, we headed to Exuma Islands, a couple miles north of Nassau, to spend the day :) i saw the pictures on the brochure but maaaan, i was not ready for this! it was like heaven on eaaaarth :D

when i die, i wanna go to a place like this :) hehehe

scuba diving... fun fun! first time i did it... pretty scary considering there were sharks nearby lol but i took a quick swim and managed to survive hahahaha :P

in this place you could walk for almost a kilometer into the water and it would still just reach your ankle. :)

shaaaarks :S

well well... that's all folks! hope you enjoyed :)

until the next destination... CANADA!

a traveler: ibiza round 2

it all started with ibiza and it all ended with ibiza :) i love this freaking island. this last trip from Europe was def epic... it was a THE roller-coaster ride of a life time, this is the last of my trips with my long time travel partner and the trip on which i celebrated my 23rd birthday and our Master in International Business graduation, it was an all time celebration trip and well... WOW it was the time of our lives. we made it that way.

truth to be told, this is prolly the most EPIC trip i've made, not because of the place per se, but because of the series of events that took place in this island! but all i have to say is... what happens in ibiza STAYS in ibiza. so this blog post in particular goes to my travel partner... to the end of the eurotrippin' era and to remember good times.

for those of you who haven't read the first blog about ibiza you can go here: http://scarlethwhite.blogspot.com/2011/10/traveler-ibiza.html

now, if you already read it, you know that the first time we visited ibiza we didn't partyyy, i knooow, crazy, but we didn't! we decided we wanted to come back and see this other side of ibiza, the side for which it is sooo famous for... the "party side".
honestly i didn't know what to expect, i've only seen these kinda parties on "wild on", hahaha that tv show on E! lol i def had some crazy expectations... and well i have to say they were all fulfilled :P

first night on, we hit Pacha, to see David Guetta which was, one word, AMAZING! the price for each ticket was €80 nothing included, but believe me, it's sooooo worth it :)

being there was soooo freaking unbelievable, the venue is massive, if you get there by 1am, you're still arriving early, hahaha and we didn't know that, so we got there around midnight, funny thing is that the club only started getting crowded until 3:30am approximately!

so while DJ Chuckie was playing we started getting kinda desperate wondering where the hell David Guetta was hahaha, it was freaking 4:30am and there were no signs of the guy! then all of the sudden these guys came out and totally blew our minds! :O

after that, mr. f*ck me i'm famous was thereeeee :D and wow he totally rocked it!
note: there are not many photos as you can imagine most of them were blurry and all taken with a point and shoot :P also, pardon the blurryness on some of these!

after going to Pacha, we decided to hit Space, after all, our hotel was right in front of it in Playa D'en Bossa... if you ever go to ibiza i highly recommend that hotel, it's called Fiesta Hotel hahaha the name says it all. great location and great service as well... quite cheap and right at beach front :) anyways, moving on to Space...

all i can say is that i've never been to a club as massive as Space in ibiza, damn, it is quite huge!

say hello to the party travelers :) wooo gotta have a classic party pic!

to finish up, a view of Playa D'en Bossa, such a cool beach to get some sun, to lay down and relax. there's music always somewhere which is really awesome, people from everywhere in the world and always great company...

the view from the hotel room... really loved our hotel.

in Playa D'en Bossa you can find... Bora Bora, some sort part of the beach where there's always a party literally hahaha

and that dear readers, was the last bit of Euro-adventures :) a hell of a ride but def incredibly worth it <3 i wouldn't trade these experiences for anything in the world. they're all stuck in my heart and in my mind... and while i haven't talked about the city that was my home for a year and half, i will very soon, since there is so much to say about my lovely London i'll have to save it for last :)

thanks to my travel partner for inspiring these writings and for making all these trips completely out of this world. this one's for you.

until the next destination... :)
